In September 2025, a committee of local arts practitioners and jazz specialists came together to deliver a revised and rejuvenated iteration of Lowestoft Jazz Weekend. Our four-day programme brought internationally-renowned names from the jazz world to under-utilised venues in Lowestoft for a series of electrifying headline performances across the town, alongside a high-quality showcase of local talent. Our programme included Kit Downes & Tom Challenger, the Pete Roth Trio feat. Bill Bruford, and Polly Gibbons.

Now, we aim to repeat that success, by bringing a fresh programme of incredible jazz to Lowestoft. Help us achieve our goal by sponsoring Lowestoft Jazz Weekend 2026 (03.09.26 – 06.09.26).

As before, we’ll put on four fantastic ticketed headline events – each in a different venue across the town. All the headline events will feature a world-class jazz act, providing an unforgettable cultural experience for attendees and raising the profile of Lowestoft as a dynamic and crucial cultural centre. And as before, we’ll offer an eclectic and exciting programme of small-scale and free-to-enter daytime jazz events in grassroots venues and community spaces throughout Lowestoft. 

We’re asking those who feel able to contribute advance funding to help us put on the event. The sooner we secure finance, the sooner we can approach venues, book bands, and put out all-important marketing material. This is an opportunity to show your support for Lowestoft Jazz Weekend, and for the town as an emerging cultural destination.

Those who donate over £28.00 and up to £200.00 will receive:

Those who donate £200.00 and over will receive:

• a half-page advert in the official programme for the event

All donations received are greatly appreciated, and will go directly to the event. Following the event, a comprehensive breakdown of income and expenditure will be made public on the Lowestoft Jazz Weekend website.
